description:
I use site-determined imagery to locate the viewer within oscillations of physical and digital space.

My work looks at ways to negotiate the perimeters, constraints and tension of this architecture and speculate on its history by using methods of projection, disorientation and superimposition.

My work examines the conditions of change and temporal concepts.

It is driven partly by the medium of film and projection; and, partly by the oscillation between a probable familiarity with the site and the inherent abstractions of imagery enlarged and sampled from the immediate location.

From these contradictions and conflicts our perspective of the site becomes conflated between understandings of the imagined and physical.

The work proposes that the viewer consider what constitutes the occupation of a place, and, who or what imposes potential blocks and barriers, be they either enforced, falsified, occupied, or contained as an artwork, or, as an independent condition existing outside of these lines of separation.
